Inspect the controls for your actual subscription and obtain confirmation of what pauses, which charges remain active, and the scheduled restart.
Do I have to use Hims weight-loss treatment forever?
Hims describes weight-loss medication as long-term treatment, but that does not commit each patient to taking it forever. Ask the provider to reassess benefit, tolerability, goals, and options for changing care. Ending a paid plan and deciding how to discontinue a prescription are separate decisions that need separate confirmation.

Hims & Hers documents describe continuing membership, clinical check-ins, and medication billing on the selected plan’s cadence. Gifthealth prescriptions specifically require monthly provider-reviewed medication check-ins to remain active. How do I delete my Hims account and request deletion of data?
Use the request route at privacy.hims.com/policies identified by Hims’ privacy policy for personal-data access or deletion. Account closure and ending paid subscriptions should be requested separately through account support. Verification and retention exceptions can apply, so keep necessary records and ask what was removed, what remains, and whether every renewal has ended.
Keep the answer attached to your actual plan
When a Hims policy depends on the selected plan, use the order number and name of the medication in your request. Ask for the action, effective date, amount, and any remaining task in one written response. That record is more useful than a general assurance that an account has been “handled.”
Medical instructions belong with the treating clinician or dispensing pharmacist. Subscription, privacy, and shipment requests may reach other teams. If one team redirects you, retain the original message and ask who now owns the request. Do not treat an administrative change as permission to change a prescription.
